The Esmaü’l Hüsna Calligraphy Collection is a comprehensive cultural project comprising calligraphy and illumination works created specifically for the project by calligraphers and illuminators from Erzurum. Led by the Erzurum Governorship Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, the project was realised under the artistic direction of Hasan Çelebi. Esmaü’l Hüsna was interpreted through the distinctive styles of different artists and transformed into a new body of work.
Catalogue and exhibition
Providing editorial support throughout the project, Tablet İletişim undertook the production of the collection catalogue and the organisation of its first exhibition.
The calligraphy and illumination works created specifically for the project were brought together in a comprehensive catalogue alongside information on the artists and the cultural background of the collection. The catalogue was published in Turkish, English and Arabic. The collection’s first exhibition opened on 22 December 2014 at Dolmabahçe Art Gallery.
